condoms are made of latex and many people have latex allergies. Also you could be allergic to the spermicide on the condom. Try one of the natural non latex kind. Your Pharmacist could point the out. You may have to come up with a new type of contraception if it doesn't help.

Yes you could have an allergic reaction to the latex. You could also have a reaction from the spermicide that they put on and in the condoms. I haven't used condoms in years, but when I used to I would always break out. You could buy a women condom or go get on some kind of birth-control. If you are in a serious relationship with one person, then ask your doctor about alternative method of birth-control. Could also try to buy condoms without spermicide and use your own. I would just experiment with it. It will be fun anyways..sex is always fun. Condoms made out of lambskin are good to experiment with. You might not be allergic to them and then you will be able to figure out if it was the latex or spermicide. If you think you might have a yeast infection...I would make a doctors appointment and stay away from sex until its healed up. Having sex while you have a yeast infection can pass it to your guy. I know how weird that sounds, but trust me when I say guys can get yeast infections too. Having sex while you have one could make it worse anyways. Good luck

The irritation could be from either, but yes you can be allergic to latex condoms. Latex allergies or sensitivities are way more common than most people realize...and the vaginal skin is such sensitive skin that even if we don't seem to be allergic on other parts of out body (like with latex gloves on our hands) they may just not be as sensitive as that delicate vaginal tissue. You can buy sheepskin condoms. They are more expensive and don't provide protection against AIDS because of the nature of the material...but they have no latex in them. There is also another type of synthetic material that they were about to start making condoms out of back when I first did my research into this subject, and since that was about 7 years ago they may have gotten it to the mainstream market already.

Yes, many people are allergic to latex. There are condoms made of other materials for those who are allergic.
Condoms don't cause yeast infections. If you already have one, and you just had sex, the actual act of sex could be what's irritating--not necessarily the condom.

Condoms now a days are made with usually three things,
First one is Latex, are you allergic to Rubber is the question you should find out, If you are the next one is Polyurathane it's usually hypoallergenic so that is the safer one to go with and IF your in a monogomous relationship (Only sleeping with 1 person) You can go with lambskin, they protect against pregnancy but not Sexually Transmitted Diseases, such as Clamydia or HIV, oh and as far as a yeast infection, they have over the counter stuff so you'll be good in a week or less

certain Durex places out a non-latex condom that is termed Avanti. i'm allergic to latex myself and placed those. They were a existence saver. I have not considered them in a value %. and they are somewhat more effective extreme priced yet no longer that undesirable. the different decision accessible is a sheep epidermis condom. I have considered them in the shop yet i'm allergic to those as well so i have no adventure with them. good success

I was allergic too, and every time after, I would be irritated and itchy. I spoke to a doctor and he said it's a mild allergy to latex. You may have to try another method of protection or try another brand of condoms. You may be allergic to the spermicide as well. Good luck and be safe!

YES!!!! condoms are made of latex. some people are very allergic to latex. talk to your doctor if you suspect.
yeast infections are not normally caused by irritation... they are caused by an increase in yeast bacteria. Your good bacteria and yeast bacteria levels are off if you have a yeast infection.

Gross.. and yes. Latex allergies are quite common... Use natural condoms (if you know your partner well) and no sex at all if you are just looking for a cheap thrill and can't deal with the allergy.
I don't know if they have alternatives to latex besides lambskin. I haven't used a condom in years?
