Some advice : you need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.
Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Good luck and stick at it.

Read "The McDougall Plan for Maximum Weight Loss." It helped me. It mainly emphasizes eating fresh foods, and limiting pre packaged junk. You have to cut out all animal products (meat, fish, eggs dairy) but you WILL lose the weight if you follow this plan. Also do 30 mins of cardio four times a week, and it will come off even faster. :)

I lost 35 pounds mainly eating a lot of protein. Carbs were also included, but a low number. It is not good for the body to just have protein staightaway. Some carbs have to be included, but low amounts.
I did not do any exercise at all, except for my job related duties.

Don't look after you money?
(lol), I think the best way would be to just eat healthily and go on long walks. Diet's don't allways work and you lose more money than wieght on some of them.
Apparently ready meals are supposed to help because there is a set portion.

Go to www.fitday.com and use their food journal. Keeping tabs on what you eat is the most recommended way to control your weight. Check out their site and you can put in your current weight and your desired weight - then it will tell you how many calories based on your lifestyle you should consume each day. I love their site and it is FREE!!! :)
