Normally, expiry dates run till the end of the month but in some cases, the product is still good to use for another month.

I personally think that they probably leave a cushion on expiration dates. I definately think it would be good through the end of Sept. and probably a little further after that depending on what it is.

Buy it before the first of September and eat it before the end of September. If it says "best by" you can eat it into October and November.
