Call your local authorities to do a report and they will go to the owner and get proof of shots.
Most likely your dog will be okay if it isn't bleeding too much. You can use antibiotic ointment on it like neosporin to help the healing and to keep it from getting infected. Be sure he doesn't scratch at it.

Put it this way unless you want your dog to end up with the possibilities of getting an abscess from the bite take him or her to the vet so the vet can clean up the hole and give your dog some antibiotics and maybe a stitch. I would try and talk to the owners and see what they say and ask to see the shot record of their dog to make sure it has all of its shots if they start to act stupid just tell them thank you and go straight to the phone and call animal control and explain to them what has happened. 9 times out of 10 they will be responsible for paying your vet bill and you shouldn't feel bad for making them either since by going nicely to them in the beginning and them not responding responsibly back its on them and they should have to pay for everything. Don't wait to much to get your dog on antibiotics from the vet , I would go asap but first stop and ask for the shot records of the other dog and see how these people respond. good luck with the people. Your dog will be fine but does need to be seen.

First take care of the dog. I would take the dog to a vet. If you can't do this, you can clean the wound with peroxide and apply an antibiotic ointment (like neosporin) to the wound. You also need to find out if the other dog was current on its shots. It's up to you as to whether or not you want to take any kind of legal action against the owner's of the dog that bit your dog. Best of luck to you and your dog.

Well you could bite the other dog....baring that f its not a major wound and it don't sound like it don't worry could use a dab of neosporn. Been years since (I bought any but you can get a cream from the vet it had a purple tinge to it for cuts and brasions animals get on occasion. sorry don't recall the name. if the cut is in an area where the dog can reach it will keep it clean

Call a vet.. take him in and file a report against the other dog. Legally, the other dog's owner will have to compensate you for the vet bill. If you don't report this who knows what the other dog is capable of. If he'll take a bite out of your dog's neck- what would he do to a child?

Contact the other dog's owner if you know them. Tell them what happened and ask for proof of vaccinations for the animal that bite your dog.
If you don't know who owns the dog that bit yours or the owner won't/can't produce proof of vaccination take your dog to the vet NOW!!! You won't know if the other animal is a carrier of disease that will infect your dog.
If you find out the other dog has been vaccinated for everthing and is UP TO DATE, then simply dress your dogs wounds to prevent infection. Do first aid as if on a human.

Ok, take the dog to a vet and have them check the wound. Do you know it the other dog was up to date on shots? If your dog is up and moving around like nothing happened then it should be ok. There will probally be some swelling around the affected area, be sure to keep it clean.

Get your dog to the vet, there may be hidden damages that you can not see, also find out who owns the other dog, also if you know where the other dog lives you can call the animal control..in any case you should get your dog to the vet regardless..dog bites can cause infections if left untreated.

Find out if the dog is current on it's rabies shot. If the owner tells you the dog is current on it's rabies shot, find out who the vet is and call to confirm that the dog is current on it's rabies. If you are concerned about the wound, take your dog to the vet.

If you don't know the other dog and whether or not its current on its vaccinations I would take the dog to the vet immediately. If that itsn't and option or you aren't willing to do that, at least clean the wound with peroxide and keep it clean.
