What did you hire her to do? Watch the kids or clean? Why would you hire someone that you are not comfortable alone with your children?

I would start by working out then take a shower. While your doing those things she should be doing some light cleaning and taking care of the children. This way you are there to see how she handles things and you can decide from afar if you are happy with her style and if you feel comfortable leaving the kids with her. She's a nanny so she should be more than able to do what she is hired to do. So relax and let her do her job, that's what you hired her for right?

You have to think you are paying her to do a job. Maybe you need to talk to her and see what her job is so then you would know where to begin or start or finish what ever you think is right you do. You are paying her she's not paying you. If I had a nanny I would take a relaxing shower and I would get my work done and I would clean what you don't pay her to clean. I would do what I knew I needed to get done.

if you hired her to watch the kids then let her do it and enjoy the time you have for yourself. You didn't hire her to clean that's what maids are there for, and she probably will just feel like she's not doing what she is there for......let her alone with the children, see how she handles being with them, and you can also ask your children, if they are not so little, how she behaves with them. Take advantage of that extra time to do things you usually aren't able to.

What exactly is the problem?
Did you honestly say she ONLY works 4-6 hours a day?
From a mother of 2 kids under age 5 who does live with the father of them, I can honestly describe you with 2 words:
CRAZY & PAMPERED
I would literally give up a limb to have 6 hours a day of help.
Seek psychiatric help, that or quit being so UNGRATEFUL.

you need to let her do her job by taking car of the kids and helping around the house and . that is why you hired a part time nanny right . well so you can do your work from home still and get stuff you need donew with out having to worry all the time about the kids

You mentioned you run a business from home....you could take care of business things that require uninterrupted attention on your part. Workout is a good thing also. Do what you need to do but find hard to do when you are watching the children yourself

Start by prioritizing what needs to get done around the house and with your business, then move down the list.

first, make sure that she is the right person to be watching your children. if you are not comfortable with her then it's time to find someone new. next, try to get things done and then just relax.

Let her do her job and go do yours. That's why you hired her, isn't it? To give you a break to work from home?
