Depends if you are just trying to be a smart a** or you are just highly frustrsted on the notion of a thought to place a question that infuriates one's self. Like situations in real life. For example, in life if something happened to you that left you with an impulse to say a curse word, would you say "oh fudge" or "oh sh*t"? Some people's vocabular knowledge is not capable of accesing proper ways to respond to situations, so they use vulgar words. And sorry for the begginning of my answer. I was being a little bit of a smart alec. I know it caused a little rise out of you and maybe that is the true reason people do it. So sorry if I offended you. Sincerely! PEACE!

You can not change another person if they do not want to change. That's just how it goes.

All using swearwords in these questions and answers proves is that the person, or people doing are either too lazy to think of the correct words to express what they wish to say. Alternatively, they may be incapable of expressing themselves properly, due to a lack of vocabulary.

It could just show an age difference. There are quite a few words that are used now that are mostly accepted as OK that used to be considered swear words, i.e. ****. I don't think it necessarily shows lack of intellegence

Yes. I was always brought up to think that using swear words showed a lack of vocabulary.

Sometimes, a well-placed epithet carries a lot of weight.

To wit:

"I find that your answer lacks cohesion and logic"

or

"What are you, f**king stupid?!"

People just misuse it

[Please note that the above quotes are only an example and that I do not consider this person stupid by any stretch of the imagination. It is just a pointed way to support my opinion]

No it means you are blunt and to the point. Unless its just a swear word on its own and not part of a constructive sentence.

Lack of vocabulary, some people just use it in their every day language but I don't think it is necessary in the written word.
