Trust your instincts - it is too soon. If you have talked about it and those words have still not been spoken, then hang onto them. You Can ask him to define eventually for you. You have the right to know if you're wasting your time. Are you both looking for a serious, long-term relationship? Are either of you looking for marriage? These are the things you need to be on the same page about. Oh, and if he tells he that he is not ready - believe him!

Females usually want to say it before males do. You might wait until he says it or just say it and take your chances. Realize that what a guy DOES is WAY more indicitive of how he feels then what he says. Write him a note or a card if you have to get it off your chest. It won't be as scary for him especially if it's a special day like Valentines or a birthday.
Just be prepared for the possibility that he doesn't love you and never will especially if he is around your age. Males just take longer to get to that point.

Well, do you? Then tell him (but mind how you 'say' it).
It's not a game, it's not political, there should be no points to be scored with their utterance.
And saying the words won't alter how you feel, regardless.
Saying them in some false romantic setting won't give them more meaning either.
Telling someone you love them won't 'make you better', it will not cure you of some ill.
Knowing that you love someone does not make you weak, it gives your life strength and vigor.
Feeling the words and expressing them in a way he may understand is the joy of it.
If you burst with such emotion, why wait...

to me i think that deep down inside if u both feel the same way about each other then u should say it me and my boyfriend have been together for 6 and a half months and we say i love u to each other only because we both now we do so u should tell him how u feel and ask him if he feels the same way about u if so then it's the right time to say i love u

there is no time minimum. You say it when you mean it and not before. Who cares how long it's been? if you feel it, then say it. If you scare him off, then he's obviously emotionally immature and you're better off without him in that case. if he's worth being with, he'll listen to you and respond. If he feels the same, he'll tell you. if he doesn't feel the same, again he'll tell you and ask you to be patient. Life is too short for playing games. just tell him how you feel! That's all there is to it.

In my view, as long as it takes. I've been with mine eight years and we still have our ups and downs. Deep down we love each other, and he still is afraid of committment or to say anything. Sometimes he says he loves me, sometimes he doesn't. I just gave up worrying about it and just enjoy his company. It's either that or push him away and lose him completely. Four months, to me, is still a pretty young relationship. But, who knows, everybody is different.

When the moment feels good. Don't rush him. He may be a bit scared getting into a new relationship for fear of rejection. Just let it take time. If you start pushing it then you will be pushing him out the door.

Most people abuse that phrase. Make sure you actually know the person, because if you don't, there's no way you can possibly love them. Do you really love him? Would you be willing to put up with his faults and still be there for him? Will he be willing to do all that for you? Love is more than just romance.

Well according to one of my friends, you should say "I love you" when you either feel the time is right or sure you want to be with this person for a long time. Kinda like asking yourself, do you want to marry them.
