My aunt is a beautician and she died my hair blond a few years ago for a class. The products that are out there (especially at the professional level) won't damage your hair at all. I gotta warn you though- you may feel a little ditsier as a blond. I know I DID!!!
Have a great day!!!

I've been coloring my hair for years...the only thing that's ever damaged my hair has been when I use a color stripper on it. Just use a really good conditioner before it for a couple of days...or a hair mask...something to protect your hair a little more. If you've never colored, I would suggest a salon. That's the safest thing when you are going blonde. I'm a natural blonde and typically I color darker, so it's pretty easy for me. You could go to a beauty supply store and get some semi professional help...that way you have an option. Good luck~

It is possible to have the color, but to go blonde it does need to be done with peroxide and bleach. Both chemicals have a drying effect. I have mine died at a salon and would recommend the same as it is easy to get it wrong with highlights!
It will need great after care, a good shampoo and conditioner and also some styling protector. having trims every 6 weeks will also help keep it healthy.
If you straighten your hair daily you may have to find another style to avoid the use of heat, but it would be worth it to have the blonde locks you dream off.
GO FOR IT - just be ready to put time and money in to look after your new look.

everytime you dye your hair it will get a bit damaged. The best way to keep your hair healthy is to use a shampoo and conditioner that contains silk and soy like Finesse products. Dont use shamppos and conditioners for colored hair because it just fades the color and doesnt leave it any healthier. Also deep condition your hair with a hair mask for 5 minutes. Try proclaim hair mask. The inriched tea tree oil give back the natural oils in your hair to keep your hair healthy, not dry.

This is a hard question to answer. You should go to a salon for a consultation. Most salons don't charge you for one. It depends on the natural color of your hair and if you have any color in it already. Ounce you get the color you like then you should only get a touch up on your new growth. But I would go to a salon.

I agree with the Aveda. I worked for Aveda for many years, and bleach my hair. The bleach is amazing and the hair feels great after. Personally, I like my hair a little damaged, it gives it more body and it sets better.

Any chemicals you put in your hair to change it damage it. When you go to a salon get a color specialist to do your hair, then you won't have as much damage.

I would use a salon, the worst thing is doing it yourself and ending up a mess then having to go to a salon to have it fixed. Use a professional they know what they are doing.

It depends on your haircolor, you may have to bleach it. If you are dark brown to black, I wouldn't reccomend it. If you are going to do it, go to a reputable salon...not the corner shop...and make sure that the person doing it is a fulltime colorist, not just a stylist.
You can always ask her/his opinion about the best color for you.
Good Luck!
Blessed Be!
