A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials in ages!!
It explains things better than all the baloney you hear on TV.
Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration.
Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely. Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.
Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).
According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part). If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there.
It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and
I'm just trying to better myself. I'm a hard-working and honest, person, except for well, you know.
And what a deal it is for me!! I live in your house, contributing only a
fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being an anti-housebreaker. Oh yeah, I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me.
Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?! Only in America....if you agree, pass it on (in English). Share it if you see the value of it as a good smile. If not blow it off along with your future Social Security funds, and a lot of other things.

You tell them! I agree and you must not forget the other "evil", outsourcing. Because of this and illegal immigration and all the whiney Democrats and corrupt Republicans, we have the situation we have. Americans losing jobs, getting lower wages, benefits becoming a thing of the past, crime rate rising, more illegal babies being born here and cared by uncle sam, the sugar daddy to illegals and unwed mothers. People collecting social security that have never paid in, this happens with illegals, people that refuse to work, parents that have children that dont work and cant afford their childs "drugs", what a waste and shame it goes to these losers who would be long dead in most other countries. And then you have all these programs set up for illegals and new legal immigrants where they get a home for nothing, they just have to get a job and prove they can pay there bills, while the rest of us rent and save for a home they get right in without any history of employment or credit, this is fair? Anyone that is not against illegal immigration and excessive legal immigration is either stupid, not paying attention, or a contributer to this problem. If this country does nothing about this major problem now, we in the middleclass to poor will pay with our lives for this problen our government has created and done nothing about. I wish there were more Lou Dobbs fans out there that would vote out these idiot politcians and get some real Americans in there, enough is enough with the Left and Right fighting for eternity, if we do nothing we get nothing in return. Lets get the right people in office that will get these illegals out of here and create a fair immigration law that will limit who comes in and stays. By the way, there has not been a president I know of that has taken this issue to heart, both Dems. and Reps. have failed at this issue and will continue to do so. Being that most people think voting for a third party is a wasted vote, we are all fu*ked, this monster will keep living and this country will fall into chaos sooner or later, and then what. Violent revolution? Thanks for all the options and hard work mr. President, your time in office has brought nothing but death, pain, misery, and hopelessness. Thanks for taking care of the rich and forgeting about the rest of us.

It's a sad state we live in when our politicians and lawmakers allow this type of behavior to happen. I think that if we as Americans exercise our god given rights and go out and vote we could make significant changes.

Now its a day later & you'll notice no one from pro-amnesty had 1 single argument in their favor against what you said.

unfortunately, they will gloss over the FACTS and bring up a thousand other pointless lies to counter it.
