If I'm working on something that I don't want to get dirty (i.e. I'm making a quilt) then ut isn't worth my effort to get a snack, then wash my hands before I can start working again. I just keep working straight thru.
Hope it helps!

The number one way to control snacking is to control the food you have in your home. If it isn't there you can't eat it. Do your food shopping just once a week. Only buy food for the meals you'll have at home.
The post-work-out munchies are the worst. I prefer to fix that problem by having my evening meal after my workout instead of before. You've said you don't like to eat after 6. If you read the better dieting books that have something to say about meal pacing, they usually say you should have 4 meals rather than 3 per day. The meals are of course smaller. If you tried to have 4 meals between say 8 and 6, they would be less than 4 hours apart and then you'd have a gap between 6 and midnight. If you think about that, your common sense will tell you that those last 6 hours are going to be tough, workout or no workout. Switch to four light meals and read up on how to pace them through the day.

Make sure that before you work out that you have some carbs in your body. Not a lot maybe 1/2 cup of brown rice.
When you get home if you are still famished then you should eat, just eat right...maybe some carrots or an apple.
If you really don't want to eat try brushing your teeth and drinking lots of water.
Good Luck
Blessed be!

Actually not eating before bedtime is an myth. What counts is the total amount of calories you eat per day, not what time of day you eat them.
If you stop eating after 6 and then go to sleep at 11 for say 8 hours, you have not eaten for 13 hours and your body goes into "starvation mode" storing fat/calories. Eating 3 small meals with sensible snacks in between is a far better way to lose weight.

You could try to "close" the kitchen. Turn off the lights and stay out of the room.
Keep low fat snacks on hand in case you can't make it without a snack.

I can't.
The best I can do is try to make room for it in my daily calorie/fat/carb count and try to make the snack as healthy as possible, substituting cut up veggies and fruit for chips or cookies.
Those 100 calorie snack packs of popcorn and other snacks are good too for watching portions.

You need to fix a healthy snack with a little protein and a little carbohydrates. I almost always have a glass of milk before I go to bed. It's just enough to curb your hunger but not too many calories.

If you steer clear of the concept of meals and just eat snacks, its healthier. The food should be healthy food, of course, but having several small snacks is better than large sit down meals.
You shouldn't eat two hours before bedtime. Try v8, filling and a free food.

If you snack eat things that are healthy like carrotts dipped into lowfat or fat free dressing. Or try sliced apples with peanut butter on them. But not alot of peanut butter. Another good choice is sugar free jello. I like celery sticks also. Fat free pudding cups are good to. I drink alot of water to & I buy those new drink sticks thats by crystal light & I put them in the water & it helps you drink more water. They come in lots of flavors & walmart has their own brand of them now thats cheaper than crystal light.

I like tacoma fast's answer but really you shouldn't not eat. The best thing to do is eat a light snack like celery, carrots, fruit. Starving yourself is not the answer.
