After spending a night of insomnia in front of an infomercial advertising colon cleanse, I decided to see if there was any truth to this. Print it out and read it at your leisure in the bathroom.

They say it's 5-20 lbs of undigested stuff, whether it's meat or not. This is because the colon bends and twists and junk gets stuck in the crevices; over the years it apparently can build up. You can do a colon cleansing through supplements or a colonics flushing. Colonics takes about an hour, they flush out the colon with water. I had it done, but it was rather unpleasant and I don't want to do it again (you need to go at least twice). I'd also be concerned that if you do something artificial to help out the colon, it will become accustomed to the help and not be so great at working on its own anymore.

not exactly. what most americans DO have is 11 or so lbs of encrusted waste in the crevises of their intestine. funny, i have been researching a colonic and have one scheduled for next week! they work by flushing pur water in and out of your colon extracting what ever bile (including bad bacteria and paracites) that have collected through the years. this cures many gasteral, bowel issues and helps promote healthy skin and organs!
