Somewhere tropical for sure. The stress is low, the prices are good off season, and the natives are friendly typically.
Many people go to Europe, which is great, but these days Europe is very expensive and can cause alot of stress. Not to mention jet lag, which isnt great coming off a wedding night hangover.
I am going to the CAyman Islands for my honeymoon. It is a short flight and the prices were good because it is off season. Something about palm trees, tropical breezes, and a beach with a rum drink see alot more like a honeymoon then dealing with Rome during rush hour.

Where is your dream place? I think the best place to go on a honeymoon is Australia! Its so beautiful and peaceful! But a honeymoon should be where u two would consider to go u shouldn't take advice on other people because everyone is different!

What is your dream?
Take that and actualize it by what time of year, and what you can afford. Some of the nicest places aren't the typical tourist trap honeymoon sites.
Talk to a tourist agent for ideas. If you belong to AAA, you can talk to an agent and get cost estimates for free. And staying at certain places, you could get a AAA discount.
Something to consider. - Me, I would love to go on a cruise to Alaska!

I must say, i think the Butlins honeymoon suite in Plymouth is wonderful. me and my husband had a great time, lots of karaoke and people there are salt of the earth. it really does have it all. unless your some kind of posh cow who plans to get married in a 'castle' and jet off to somewhere like Hong Kong.
If you're truly in love, it shouldn't matter!

Well,...it depends when is ur honeymoon....u didnt mention...My honeymoon is 2 weeks away!!!!:-)....Im going to egypt and Jordan.....look,...If ur honeymoon is in november - march come to us in dubai,united arab emirates...its heaven if u like shopping and sea:-)...but its too hot in summer....so if ur honeymoon is due now ..I advice u to go to Europe...or any tropical place...like mauritius islands for example.....egypt and jordan are good options along with cyprus ,..greece and italy....spain is wonderful too....I repeat..IF UR HONEYMOON IS IN NOVEMBER TILL MARCH COME TO DUBAI>>>>U WILL BE HAPPY FOR SURE ...FOR MORE INFO ON DUBAI AND THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES :http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?fr=FP-pull-web-t&ei=UTF-8&p=dubai&fr2=tab-web

i love york! would happily spend days and days there, but as its for your honeymoon i dont suppose you would be too bothered as long as they have comfy beds!
