I've had my dog to the several vets that don't why he throws up almost everything he eats. They say he doesn't have worms. This has been happening for several months and he has gotten very skinny.

You need to seek out a specialist. Has a barium series been run? This is when they feed the dog a contrast then take x-rays at different intervals to see how it is passing from the mouth to the rear end. How about bloodwork? This is not a problem that should be left untreated. He could have anything from a blockage to a problem with absorbtion of food. Find a specialist, or a vet teaching hospital.

Have you had the vet check his liver? Our dog got fatty liver hepatitis and threw up constantly, then wouldnt' eat or drink anything! Amazingly, after subsisting on Sub-q hydration for almost 2 weeks, he recovered quickly! He just needed to lose weight. Sometimes, dogs just stop eating because their body tells them they're too fat or not getting enough exercise.

Another question is: do you use any cleaning products (inside or out) where the dog can get them on its fur or paws? If so, poisoning could be an issue. Even something as simple as salt for your walkway or fertilizer on the lawn can make them sick. If you DO use these, have the vet to a toxicology screen.

If you're using any pet products, like flea protection, shampoo, or supplements like glucosamine or chondroitin, your dog may be sensitive to these. Try eliminate the above and see if he improves. Good luck!

Ask your vet to do an ultrasound or x-ray. Our Dog had this same thing happen. It could be a Pyloric Tumor. A tumor pushed on his tummy and intestines so even though he was hungry there was no room for it in his tummy. Surgery was not advised because we caught it VERY late and it was a very large tumor for our little guy.

I would also find a new vet. If they have not looked at all the options. Also have they done a blood work up on your dog?

It could be many different things causing him to throw up, it could be something as simple as an allergy to a certain ingredient in his food (my dog throws up almost immediately after eating if her system doesn't agree with something she just ate, like for her it's anything with soy in it, any prosessed lunch meats, certain preservatives)

or

My friends dog was throwing up all the time too and she took her to a few vets before finding out it was caused by her thyroid. Now she is on meds and still throws up once in a while, but not all the time like before.

I would try changing his diet first to an all natural food like Natural Balance (they make 3 different allergy formulas to choose from). and see if that helps. If not, I'd search for a different vet to find out what the problem is.

it could be the any number of things wrong. it could very well be his food makes his stomach sick and he has a problem holding it down long. that could either be from the food or a problem in your dogs throat or stomach. something is causing the problem of your dog throwing up and since your dog is losing alot of wieght fast you need to do something about it fast before you dog dies of starvation. you should get your dog to a vet that can do x-rays on your dogs throat and stomach to see whats going on in there. it could be more serious than you think. cancer can grow in your dog and make it do horrific things like that also (throwing up every time it eats for example)
good luck, i hope that your dog gets better soon, and you find what the problem is.

you dog is sick. dogs dont worry about what everyone thinks of their looks. you need to seriously look at chaning its diet. eggs are easy for dogs to digest. try that.
