You could do what my wife and mother did for the past two years, and that's nag him to get a physical checkup with his doctor.

It took me two years, and when the bloodwork came back, I got scared straight! It took the test results and a doctor telling me where I'm headed before I accepted what I already knew but tried to fool myself (or ignored it completely). Now, I'm eating much healthier, getting more exercise, and actually enjoying life a lot more.

Unfortunately, there are people like my grandfather...you can warn them and warn them, but they don't listen. They can have doctors tell them all kinds of scary stuff, but they don't listen. They have a major heart attack, and still they don't change much. They're just so stuborn! I hope your guy isn't like this...

Best you can do is urge him to go to the doctor's. Start nagging away. He might seem pissy on the outside, but deep down he knows it's becuase you care, and he won't really hold it against you. His anger stems from the fact that he knows what you're saying is true, but he's denying the truth....

Good luck!

You don't. Change can only happen when he makes the change for himself. No matter how much you talk about it, he won't do it until he wants.

There are a few things that you can do though.. Make meals that don't include alot of fat in them. Yes, eating right is the best start.

Then, entice him to exercise. Start off simple with something like a walk. Do this regularly. He won't even know about it either, because all he wants to be with is you, whereever you are and whereever you go.

Then, you have to take him grocery shopping. Make sure you buy only foods and that he knows too. Let him make a choice on his favorite veggie too. That will help.

You have to guide him slowly out of the frame of mind of eating bad. It works, but it takes time.

I think the best way is for him to go to a doctor and have blood work done get the results and have the doctor make recomendations on ways to lower his cholesterol and triglicerites and a good diet to control this. Also some people but not all that are over weight also have problems with diabetes. Walking and a proper diet along with regular doctor visit should help. Hope this works for you , him and his health. Good luck it took me about 15 years to learn this and now I work harder to control mine because I have a new grandbaby that I want to see grow up.

You need to help him and get him moving it is not at all a laughing matter. Have a heart to heart with him and let him know that you are concerned and that you will help him do it be supportive and realize food and sugar to an overweight person are like beer to an alcoholic. Good Luck

Tell him in a nice way. He'll geniunely heed your advice. If your a average size lady, I bow to you. Coz being able to accept a guy 3 times your size is an incredible thing. Girls like you are becoming extinct.

Go find an item on the web about that old time actor "Fatty Arbuckle" and his girlfriend that got crushed when he was on top of her.

Just explain to him that he should exercise more because you are worried about his health. OR when you cook him dinner or go out to dinner have him eat foods like fish and vegetables.

Wow! Enourage him to work out with you, get on a work out plan and get him involded with it too. you can also sit down with him and just say, baby I love you so much and i dont want anything to happen to you, could we diet? or could we work out together? Honesty is the best policy.
