Religions are groups of individuals that have found common ground in their beliefs-Yesterday OUR Christian President Bush said-The US is addicted to foreign oil-BECAUSE HE has placed the economy of The US into the hands of oil industry and if you don't think so ask DICK CHENNY-what Haliburton gains from this dependency! So to make this statement also is to suggest that AMERICA IS ADDICTED TO FOSSIL FUELS-which means we are addicted to THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT-Pollution-Ozone depletion-and non biodegradeable plastics. Now this is fine if you are religious because you have somewhere better to go to after the world is destroyed by this incessant corrupted abuse of NATURE. THE ROADS OF OUR GOLDEN GODS HEAVEN! And with this "I AM SAVED" attitude The religious right will continue to abuse the resources-continue to be fruitful and multiply and their continual abuse will mean THEIR CHILDREN-GODS CHOSEN CHILDREN will have to suffer for conservation-which will then solicit WAR-Destruction &THE END

You can't remove God. He doesn't exist.

I do agree that religion does cause a lot of strife in this world, though. However, you can't even remove the idea of god, because people's imaginations are prone to invent them. All you can do is try to educate and shift society's focus away from superstition to science. We have to get the world to agree to be more humanistic.

Is this really a question or just a way to flaunt your opinion? I know that human ways destroy our precious planet, but what do we do? Not all Christians or believers recycle or drive solar cars fueled with veggie oil mixed with methane. Just because Bush and our government feels this way doesn't mean the whole population of Christians or believers feel and think this way. It takes a lot to learn more about what we can do to save the environment and this is what scientist that may be Christians or believers, who knows, are doing. God bless and open your spirit up some more to know that people care you just have to look harder and in the right directions.
