“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad” Then the Jews said to Him “You are not yet fifty years old and have You seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM” John 8 verses 56 - 58

The Jews of Jesus' time understood exactly what Jesus was sayng when He said the above quote from the Bible. That's why after He said it, they took up stones to kill him.

For God so loved the world that He gave only begotten Son, that whoever believes is Him should not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16

Jesus is not the literal Son of God, for that would mean that God would have to have been a man for Jesus to have been created through normal human reproduction. This is where some Muslims have misinterpreted the Bible. Let us remember that God sent Jesus to be a sacrifice for our sin, so that our sin can and would be forgiven, not just once a year, but one sacrifice for all mankind's sin.

This is the love of God demonstrated through the life of Jesus Christ....even while we were enemies of God, God made a way for us to come to Him...

John 14:6 "Jesus said to him "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

This is an exceptional thing for Jesus to say. Now on the basis of this, Jesus is either a liar, or He is saying the truth. Through Jesus' death and resurrection, the world has been saved, and we have a new life with Him....

Over to you....

Jesus is the Son of God.
the proof is the Bible.

we can't try to understand that by our own carnal way of thinking. His being the Son of God is not what we understand as a child having a father. if that is the case, then he must have a mother.
He was born to a virgin. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit. that's why Joseph thought of divorcing Mary when an angel appeared to him telling him that Mary is going to have a child because Joseph did not have sexual relationship yet when Jesus was born. Mary is Jesus' mother in the flesh. well, that does not make Mary the mother of God either. the Bible teaches the Holy Trinity. so, The Son of God is one of the titles Jesus has.

Do you have proof that He isin't?

before I go... let me clear this up for you.

God created humanity (if you believe that?) It is your choice.

Parents create and God created... Get the idea? Jesus was a spiritual representation of all of Humanity. Therefore He was the Son of God even if they didn't play baseball and go to the Circus together...

Still... Father (of all creation) and Son (being a part of all of creation.) You... (as closed minded and assumptive as you are ALSO having no proof to dispute or prove your claim.) are also the Son of God and Christ's example to humanity was to show that you truely are NO DIFFERENT than he was. Or anyone is for that matter.

For the Jews of Jesus´s time the term "son of God" simply meant a very religious and good person.

I could provide you proof. In the prophecies of Isaiah, and Daniel, and Jeremiah, and Habakkuk. I could show you in the documents of Mathew and Luke in how this claim of the Scion of God is made.

But you would reject it, because you disapprove of all scripture other than your own. Or other will reject it because they fervently want to believe that it is a fairy tale.

As the old saying goes:
"You can lead a Horse to water, But you cannot make him drink"
and " There are none so blind, as those who have a closed mind and do not wish to see."

I don't understand your question. Could you re-type it in a legible manner?

The word "proof" should not really be used in this category. Nothing about religion, god or jesus can be proven by anyone. The only proof is in the pudding, oh, er, I mean the bible, and really, that's just a book. Anyone could have written it!

Luke 22:69-71 (New International Version)

69But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God."

70They all asked, "Are you then the Son of God?"
He replied, "You are right in saying I am."

71Then they said, "Why do we need any more testimony? We have heard it from his own lips."

To some Muslims, the term “Son of God” brings up images of a sort of divine being with a goddess wife who together have somehow produced a child. When Christians use the term in reference to Jesus, they immediately assume that the Christians are committing blasphemy by stating that God has participated in some sort of sexual union with another god – a goddess wife.

They say: "the most gracious has betaken a son!" Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous! At it in the skies are about to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin, that they attributed a son to the Most Gracious, for it is not consonant with the majesty of the Most Gracious that he should beget a son. (The Qur'an, 5:88-92).

This is naturally a ridiculous scenario and is a false assumption. No where in the Bible does it say that God had relations with anyone to produce a literal son, nor has Christianity taught that God produced a son through any physical act whatsoever. Such a thing is heretical. Nevertheless, the Bible in numerous places calls Jesus the Son of God. But, it does not mean that Jesus is the literal offspring of God.

The Muslims need to as ask what does that term mean, in its historic and biblical context. Instead of imposing upon the biblical term a meaning that is foreign to it, the Muslim should learn what the Bible means by the term and think of it in the context as revealed in the Scriptures where it is used. To not do that would be the same as me taking a term out of the Qur'an, remove it from its Qur'anic context, and applying another meaning to it and then saying what the Qur'an teaches is false. The term “Son of God” is used in different senses in the Bible. But, never does it mean that God has a wife and produces offspring.

Old Testament usage of the term Son of God

The term “son of God” is used in two main ways in the Old Testament. Neither way denotes any physical relation to God. Rather, the references deal with those who are under divine obedience to the call of God. It is used of Israel as a nation through the Exodus. Hosea 11:1 says, “When Israel was a youth I loved him, and out of Egypt I called My son.”1 It is also used in reference to angels. Job 1:6 says, "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.” Also, in Job 38:7 it says, "When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?" These are in reference to angels who are created beings and in no way implies literal dependency from God.

New Testament usage of the term Son of God

The Term "Son of God" occurs 47 times in the King James New Testament. In reference to Jesus, it is a title as the heavenly, eternal Son who is equal to God the Father (John 5:18-24). It is Jesus who fully reveals the Father (Matt. 11:27). He is the exact representation of the Father (Heb. 1:1-3), He possesses all authority in heaven and earth (Matt. 28:18), and Jesus had glory with the Father before the world was made (John 17:5).

The Muslim is taught from the Qur'an and therefore cannot accept the fact that Jesus is divine. To the Muslim, that is shirk, blasphemy of the worst kind. But believing it doesn't make it so. To the Christian, and according to the Bible, Jesus is the one who alone saves us from our sins. We cannot earn our way to heaven, perform enough good works to please God, or ever be "sincere enough" in repentance to somehow obtain forgiveness from God. Instead, Christianity is a faith of God's great love and sacrifice for His creation. Jesus, the Son of God, is the divine one who fulfilled prophecies, walked on water, healed the sick, and rose from the dead. Only the Son of God can do these things.

From the bible, read and weep, John 10:30

30 I and my Father are one.

31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

The critics of the following work will claim that Prophet of Doom is offensive, racist, hatemongering, intolerant, and unnecessarily violent. I agree—but I didn't write those parts. They came directly from Islam's scriptures. If you don't like what Muhammad and Allah said, don't blame me. I'm just the messenger.
