I forgot about it and it stayed there all night. Is it still ok to use??

Thanks for your answers.
I rinsed it in cold water, it was still red and smelled fine. There was no funny smell when I started to cook it so I decided to go ahead and use it. I will try not to do that again! Thanks again.

I wouldn't use it ....as bacteria grows rather rapidly on raw, warm meats

Depends on how long it was left on the counter and how warm it was in your kitchen. If the meat still feels cool or cold to the touch then you should be in good shape. If it was a large amount of meat and was frozen solid then it should stay cool for a longer amount of time. If it was a very small portion of meat then it probably didn't hold it's cool and you may as well throw it out and buy some new.

You aren't supposed to do that with beef. So, I'd throw it out and go buy more. And it's best the thaw something out in the fridge as it maintains some coldness. So next time, thaw it out 2 days prior to using it in the fridge. That's what I do anyway and no one at home has been sick before from meat.

That depends. I've left meat out overnight to thaw and then refrigerated it the next morning before work and cooked it when I got home and it was fine. We never got sick. Just be careful thawing out meat that's been in your freezer for awhile to cook. The freezer burn gives it a nasty taste!

If you've left it out overnight and it's the next night, I would say no. If you left it out the same day I would say yes.

Wow I don't think I would. I have put meat out in the morning and left it on the counter all day and then used it in the evening no problem..but if I put it out in the morning and then forgot about it until the next morning, I think I would get rid of it.

Smell it. The nose knows. If it still smells OK, make sure to cook very thoroughly (as you would with any ground beef.)

rinse with cold water and cook at high heat/ restaurants hang beef to tenderize all the time /after washing it let it dry out be for cooking all so you should always cook beef after it is room temp /and remember to slice against the grain for tenderness

If it's still cold and red/pink then I'd say use it. Years ago everyone didn't worry about "bad" meat and expiration dates and people lived long happy lives. You're cooking it afterall not eating it raw. If it's warm and/or brown pitch it.

Is it still cold? I would be a little scared to use it. But one time I put a pot roast in the crock pot to cook all night and I forgot to turn it on and I turned it on the next morning and we ate it and it was fine. But it was also in cold water all night.

I wouldn't take the chance if it is completely thawed and room temperature. If it is still cold, that might be ok.

If the package is still cool/cold then I would say yes. If it is room temperature I would throw it out...
