It shouldn't be stiff at all after having a relaxer. Apply some moisture to it.

If you used the right kind of relaxer, the stiffness should be less and less after each shampoo.

after relaxing your hair will be soft/limp until the 1st shampoo, then gradually get harder as time goes on, reverting back about 4-6wks then time for a touch up

As soon as you deep condition your hair and oil your scalp, it should soften up a bit. Also, make sure you're using a hairbrush that's made with boar bristles - that will make your hair softer too.

I think a proper relaxer should last a couple of months.

no depending onyour hair texture i think it takes from between 1 month to 3 months
