Who invented the "dry ski" ?

I konw there was a Englishman inevnted it, and there are many dry ski slopes in UK, I wonder is there any company or agent sell it?
Do they do international business?

In the late 50s we use Zippies to ski down desert sand mounds. I looked for them recently, and could not find them.
