go into your device manager.
If in XP right click on my computer. Go to properties... click on hardware tab... Click on device manager... Look under display adapters.

Or you can right click the desktop ..go to properties....click on settings tab.... click on advanced... click on adapter

Control Panel
Click the system icon
Click the Hardware tab
Click the Device Manager button
Find the Display adaptor catagory for hardware
Click the + sign in front of Display adaptor
Should list the video card for you

Check the computer's documentation or the manufacturer's web site for additional information on the card.

Well you can always check in device manager:right click on "my computer"->hardware->device manager and look under video card
(only works if you have driver installed)
or you can look at bootup before the bios, there should be a short info about the videocard.
if none works you should open the computer case and look at the chipset.

get into urs computer properties and hardware and click device manager and if u can't see here select show all hidden devices and u will get all hardware information
