Oh yes it's always different. Every pregnancy, every day is a different story. If it gets really bad, and you really can't deal with it, or you aren't getting the nutrition you so desperatly need- there is help. And not just of the cracker kind. Your OBGYN can get you a medication that helps the morning sickness ( no matter what time of day lol). It is a wonderfull medication, non- addictive, not harmfull to you or baby. It just helps the nausea go away, helps you get food down. And you only need it as long as you are having issues with nausea.
As for why only women - sometimes it helps to remember that women handle pain better than men do. So the next time you hear any male whining about how much pain they are in - you can always tell them...try carrying around a bowling ball for 9 months, gaining weight, swollen legs, running to the bathroom every 5 minutes, or the accidental peeing of your pants when sneezing or coughing too hard, and then after all of that...try squeezing something the size of a watermelon out of a hole the size of a lemon - and then come and talk to me about pain.
We were made to handle the stresses. Try to think of it as an empowering thing - something men can't do no matter how hard they try to pretend they are all powerfull and can do it all....they really can't!

Every women is different, so every experience with morning sickness is different. Personally, I was literally sick from three weeks after I conceived, until I gave birth to each of my children. I had my daughter two years ago, and the last few months of my pregnancy I was in the hospital at least once a week being treated for dehydration. She came out weighing nearly ten pounds, but I was thin as a rail and weighed less when I had her then when I became pregnant with her. She was my hardest pregnancy.
I know that most of my girlfriends only have morning sickness the first trimester, and some not even that long. I think it's probably more rare that women are as sick as I was, because you just don't hear about that very often.

At least feel blessed won't you? You can bring another being into this world. You, have the greater responsibility.

Imagine if guys were given the task. You'd see a dozen miscarriages everyday!
And you couldn't tell if he was pregnant or just beer-bellied!

Morning sickness, as it is called, comes with the morning. Well actually just for a certain period during the pregnancy, about 1-2 months into the pregnancy before it shows up, and it can disappear like pop-up ad.

So yes it does vary.

All the best if you are loaded. Hey 9 months is not a bad deal.

Each woman is different. Some woman never experience morning sickness. I however, experienced it everyday for the the second moth through the fourth month with my first child. Not Just in the morning either. Pretty much anytime. With my second child I was nauseous and that was it. I was told and to my experience morning sickness usually subsides around the second trimester. But as I stated earlier every woman and every pregnancy is different.

It varies from day to day...when I was pregnant, some days I would be fine, some days I'd be in the bathroom on and off all day long! And it wasn't just in the morning, it was anytime of the day. I also have heard it's different for each pregnancy, if you were really sick in your first pregnancy, you could possible feel the best you've ever felt in your second...it's weird...

Unfortunately honey it really varies from pregnancy to pregnancy. I have had 3 children and each of my pregnancies were very different. The first one I wasn't sick at all. The second I was sick all the time, and the third I was sick for a couple months.

Because you have the uterus, and men couldn't handle any of it - from menstruation to childbirth! He'd crumble if he had to endure these things! IF MEN COULD GET PREGNANT, THERE'D BE MUCH MORE ABORTIONS EVERYWHERE AND NOBODY WOULD TRY TAKING AWAY THEIR RIGHTS! I don't believe pregnancy has anything to do with the bible, because it's not something I believe in, nor is the bible a proven fact. (Sorry, but it's NOT). And if there WERE an Adam & Eve, just remember that even though "Eve tempted Adam" with forbidden food - Adam KNEW he wasn't supposed to eat it, yet he CHOSE TO, and he disobeyed his God's orders. Pretty unfair to "punish" Eve worse than Adam when both were just as wrong.

If it makes you feel better, SEAHORSES are one species where the male gives birth!! They actually spit them out orally.

Your comments are very insensitive! I carried my child for 9 1/2 months, getting sick every morning while still craving rhubarb and pizza sauce--- and then I started to get varicose veins. But what's even worse than that is I tried answering this question. I gotta stop watching Oprah. :)

Have a great day!!!

Sweetie women do it because the men can't handle it lmao. I had morning sickness everyday for 8 months. It varies on the person. They do have something to help with it. See your dr.

We have the opportunity to feel life as it begins, I think if men knew what they were missing they would be jealous. Morning sickness depends on each individual person. Most women only have it in the first trimester though. My suggestions would be try to eat even though it may be hard the more nourishment you have the less sick you will be.

Congratulations!!!
