do you believe that the things people say in the heat of passion are true, like when they say they love you or things like that when you are intimate?

sometimes I think we may feel like we love someone, but it may be mistaken for lust, I was with a guy for 6 months till I figured out I just just "in lust" It feels the same, but it isnt
