I've got loads of 'girlfriends' who ask me to go clothes shopping etc...with them. They say it's because we are more fashion concious. Yet when we are in a shop talking to their friends' and they find out i'm gay they want a date.Is it a challenge to 'turn-me'? Waste of time! Non of my friends have ever tried to come onto me. We all just have a laf.Aint bothered,just wondering. Mbe u straight guys shud try it...u cud have ur pick ha,ha!!

Gay guys are the perfect human for females...we love men and we love to be friends with men, But most straight men can't handle being friends with a female, not without trying something along the line. But when you have a gay male...now that is perfection in it's finest.

The film The Object of My Affection was about this phenomena. Gay men tend to be able to talk to women more openly, offer support, and encouragement and brotherly advice and therefore, I think that women find those things attractive and want to take the "friendship" further. I am a gay man and I have more female friends than male, because I just generally tend to attract women as friends and in some cases, on their side, it has been more. Sometimes, straight women become a form of family when the gay person's biological family rejects the person based on their sexual preference. Gay men and women often have wonderful friendships. Gay men and straight women have many things in common. They both share an attraction and love for men. They both share a frustration with a male dominated culture. They both share the joys and frustrations of trying to attract men. Gay men are able to see women as whole beings. They are not blinded by sexual attraction the way their straight counterparts often are. A straight man may not be able to look past a woman's large breasts while a gay man may not even notice. Without sexual distraction gay men and women are able to share with ease an understanding of the opposite sex that their straight counterparts can spend a lifetime struggling to understand.

It's all about stereotyping. While that's a positive stereotype to have, it is still wrong for people to assume just because you are a gay man that you were born with spectacular fashion-sense.
Oh well...
As for the dates...I don't think it's that they are trying to turn you more than they wanna have a male to go dancing with and have fun with without being felt-up and expected to "put out" at the end of the night. A date with NO STRINGS ATTACHED. That's why they are asking you out.

First off you're probably good looking and have a great personality -You are open minded.
Second off a lot of women want what they can't have.
Thrid off some women want to know if they could be the one to get you to like women instead of men b/c they think they are gifts to men and if you were with them just one time you'd never want another man LOL some women are pretty self centered making it all about them and the challeng to change you just to see if they can is what there all about!
Forth off it is a turn on to some women watching two guys suck eachother off so you can date but don't have to have sex with them they'd rather be watchers.
Fith some of them probably want to know if you are bisexual and not gay like you say, if you are bisexual then you'll date them anyway and those nasty girls will eventually get to see something they probably haven't!
Those are my guesses!

Some women do consider it a challenge to turn a gay man. For the most part women know that a gay man will treat them well and be lots of fun. Just take it as a compliment and go . Cudos for the gay man.

Gay men are what most women call perfect. They are comfortable with thier feminity and therefor communicate and relate with women differently. I used to want a gay man's personality that wanted the equipment I had. Instead I found a straight man that was comfortable in his feminity. I wouldn't doubt that part of the attention you get though is women wanting the challenge of converting you. How many gay men have you heard of trying to convert straight men, its the same concept. It's stupid.

Probably because every girl wants to have a gay guy friend. Also, they'll spend more time with you since you're like a girlfriend to them. Are they really date dates or just going out and shopping and such. They also want to get to know you better as I mentioned before, practically every girl wants a gay guy friend. If i have to turn gay to get girls then theres no point.

its the age old answer of wanting something you cant have. curiosity is a big part as well. wanting to know what it would be like to be witha gay guy! whether its better, different etc and of course the challenge too! you should be flattered if a girl comes on to you if ur gay!

It's all to do with them feeling safe - they don't see you as a risk (as in trying to get them into bed) and because you're a guy, other guys are likely to stay away and not try to pick them up.
You may also be right about the challenge of trying to turn you ... They could brag about it for a lifetime if they did manage to get you to sleep with them.
