Depends on the mom. Try being a obedient little angel for a week, or just think of an answer for every question you know they are going to ask you. Show them you can handle a pet by pet sitting! I think the 3 make a great combo. Good luck! (If you even know what kind of pet you want think of all the good things about that breed and tell them! Do some research. Parents are impressed if you show them how much you are really willing to do for that pet!

Why doesnt she want a dog? too clean? money issues?
be aware
cheap dog food is like poison. Our dog food is $35 and is not even that great but is better natural stuff with no preservatives or biproducts. Make sure the first 5 ingredients are meat. Dont go by adds on the tv. If they are spending billions of dollars on adds and pretty pics on food bags then they probably arent spending that much on making quality healthy dog foods.
Did you know...purina is owned by a chocolate company? (NESTLE)
Beniful is one of the worst dog foods out there?
Pedigree too is owned by a candy company (MARS)
If you are going to get a regular kibble...make sure it is owned by acutal pet food industry.
Science diet isnt as big as you think. As of food quality....it is a 2 or 3 out of 5.
Get Iams if anything. And no theyre not doing random animal testing.
vet bills arent cheap unless you go holistic. Then the food is a bit more pricy and it takes some skill.
grooming isnt cheap unless you do it at home. Again it takes knowlage and skill even to clip nails.
So unless you go all natural (the food will be more pricy) owning a dog is really expensive. DONT GO HOLISTIC UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!! you could injure or kill your animal.
1. dont buy a dog....you will probably be spending more on vet bills than u did on the dog. If you do buy get AKC SHOW DOGS ONLY!!!!
2. adopting is cheaper....

What if she doesn't want a dog? It could possibly be abused or neglected if she doesn't want one or gets the wrong kind for her lifestyle. Dogs are a lot of responsibility.

Find out why she doesn't want to buy a dog. Try to overcome her objections by correcting the problems. (If she says it's loud, find a quite breed; if she says it chews, promise to take it to a training, etc.)

have you demonstrated to your mum that you will be responsible to look after it, clean it, clean its poo if it is in the house, walk it.
Some kids (if you still are) just want a pet to play with it without taking the above responsibilities and leave them to the parents.
