Sadly he was killed.

People are asking if he is in Hell cause apparently he was an atheist.

WHAT DO YOU CARE? I find this is COMPLETELY tackless and disrespectful. If he is in Hell, there certainly is nothing you can do for him now! Offer support to his wife and kids and leave the poor man alone.

I'm sorry if this is harsh but thousands of people are shocked and I don't see much compassion for the dead here...

My question Maegan is this:

Why can't people offer support instead of questioning his location? Why can't we show any signs of compassion for the dead? This is suppose to be a spirituality board yet most people here seem to be insulting the dead.

I agree, I'm not in this forum alot but it seems that there isn't that much love for him regardless of his actions. A man was taken away and people don't seem that serious. And he didn't torment animals - these people do (WARNING)http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?p=animal%20abuse&fr=FP-tab-web-t500&toggle=1&ei=UTF-8&fr2=tab-web
even if he did the alligators would know how to teach him a lesson

He descendeth into hell and there he liberateth the lowly spider, the stingray and the other venemous creatures therein.

okay, I'm being a wisea**. I'm sorry most for his children, who lost a very devoted father. I agree that speculating about his eternal fate is tactless... but I also think that people often deal with feelings of sadness (and even though most of us never met the man, it is certainly sad) by making jokes. On of the side-effects of fame is that people will often make jokes about your death.

It is a topic for discussion (The afterlife and our destinations). I have alot of respect for him too. But, when someone dies, it brings up alot of questions that cannot be denied. There are many questions that are asked and offend people in the process. If you are prone to be offened easily, you should stick to the pet section. It is fairly harmless and boring.

Steve Irwin's death was unfortunate. He was a risk taker, so he may not have been very surprised when the end came. I doubt he is in hell; there are so many more deserving souls to inhabit that place.

Usually I'd be asking "where's the question" but if people on this forum (or anywhere else) are talking like this, I don't blame you for sharing.

Let the dead rest in peace - God will take care of them.

The people who are shocked and saddened by his death probably number in the tens if not hundreds of millions. It is of course absurd to ask if he is in the mythical torture chamber called hell.
