Judaism teaches that Satan is nothing more and nothing less than an angel working for "God" and for the benefit of mankind by testing his moral character. The idea of Satan as a competitor with "God" who wants to take mankind to "hell" is one of those absurd Christian concepts which was invented decades if not centuries after the death of Jesus in order to control the early Christians.

His #1 job would be to bring enlightenment and knowledge to humanity. Or open our eyes to the world as a whole not just blinded and living in fantasyland.

Satan, if you believe in a Christian god or Shatan for those Zoroastrians out there, is the flip side of ignorance and bliss. While the truth may be painful it is necessary to understand all of reality.

This is just myth though and reality is simply devoid of false constructs as god and Satan.

I saw him working a 7 Eleven once.

He had a pointy tail and horns and a pitch fork.

The cops kicked me in the face and made me pee on myself.

I met Ricard Nixon once.

1 Peter 5:8- Be sober , be vigilant ; because your adversary the devil , as a roaring lion , walketh about , seeking whom he may devour.
His job would be to cause those who are saved to stumble and take them from the sweet fellowship of God.

If he (it?) actually existed, his number one job would be to pretend to be God, inspire a book that led people to believe they could freely sin without eternal consequences.

In exchange for their souls (love, worship, devotion).

Christians should be grateful the bible is a book of mythology. Otherwise, their eternal fates would be very unpleasant.
