You will have the curses found in the Bible put on you. Basically you are rejecting God's message by saying that His word is not everything, and that your word is more important. This is what a lot of cults (Mormons, Catholics, Jehova's Witnesses, etc.) do today. They have added to the Bible so that they can make it say what they want it to say. God will not honor this.

Revelation 22:18 & 19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. God wrote us a love letter through the Bible. He also gave us the way to live, and what to watch out for. We have free will to choose, but too many people make fun of the Bible, and God. They won't be laughing at the judgement seat. They will be begging Him to take them to heaven. Just like the Rich man and Lazerus. The Holy Spirit is there to help us understand the Bible. All we have to do is ask.

Since The Holy Bible was compiled by the Roman Catholic Church, and it has gone through many diverse translations (see Da Jesus Book for a pidgin translation), and many manuscripts were rejected in the compilation, I would say that the book is true so long as it is translated correctly, and we have all of the facts it can contain.

For me, the value of the book is in the spirit that it conveys for me. I do not use it as an historical reference, but rather as a spiritual one. I believe that Jesus lived, was the only begotten Son of God, and died for my sins. I also believe that he rose from the grave 3 days after his burial. The Bible, combined with prayer, was one of the tools that I used to come by my faith.

Last chap. of revelation, all the plagues in the book will be added to you and eternal life will be taken from you. That's why the Dead sea scrolls don't differ from the bible we have today

if you add to the book the Plagues described in revelations will be added to you and if you take away then your name will be taken from the book of life. God bless.

Just to comment the Dead Sea Scrolls do not contain the new testament, just parts of the old, in addition to other writings. the bible is merely a retelling of older stories. No one wants to here their value system is not what they believe it to be.

I think you know. The quote you are referring to is in the revelation of John.
You imply that he was referring to the entire Bible and not just his revelation. Already that is up to debate. And how would we add to, by writing or living a lie? And how would we take away, by deletion or living a life without faith?
What happens is judgment in epic proportions, how shall we then live?
