You are never too old. The oldest student who gained a degree with the Open University was 75, so there you have it.
Have you heard that saying about 'If you don't use it you lose it'
Well don't lose yours keep learning and good luck with the studying.

It is never too late. I was not able to gain the qualifications I needed because I had to put it on hold in order to care for a parent, also my children. I went back to study age 42 and gained everything I needed to follow my chosen career . We all have our failings though, I wish I was better at giving up smoking, I have a strong will, I can be very determined, but I stop and start smoking all the time.

I am sensing a genuine sadness here. If I am not mistaken, you are probably not in a good relationship. It's at times like this that one tends to re-assess ones own achievements. I know three people who, between them are worth about 1.5 billion pounds. They don't have a GCSE between them. Are they unsuccessful?
You must not think that you need the approval of academics to ratify your worth. If you had gone to university, you would probably have ended up as a raving left winger. How can I say this, It is never too late, because, in two years time you will still be two years older, whether you study or not. Don't forget, we are all expected to work longer now. Finally, do not let those appalling feminists, particularly those in government, make you think that the only worthwhile measure of a female, is her ability in the workplace.

I wish I were less judgmental about things and people and had a purer heart, free of negative thoughts. I wish I were a little less sensitive and didn't take things quite so personally. I wish I could make better choices about a lot of things.
I just ask God to help me achieve these things and try to remain conscious about it as I go through my day.

I left 6th form and went to work for 2 years. I decided it wasn't me and although I had exsisting debts, I chose to quit full time work and apply to go to university to get a degree and train to be a teacher, and here i am starting year 2! And my grades are better than ever predicted at 6th form, because I want to do well and better myself

There's no point thinking like that. If you had gone to uni, you might have had a miserable time, you never know. Better not to regret what you didn't do and get on with what you are doing.

It is not too late. Nowadays people in their seventies have been known to finally get that degree!
Persistence and determination, plus faith in yourself, are the best tools for reaching goals.
