That is a possibility! I served in the U.S. Army. Non-U.S. citizens can join! I don't know the stipulations on this but we had Germans, Haitains, South Americans, Mexicans, and other ethnical groups which were not U.S. citizens. After serving for a certain period the non citizens are granted full citizenship. I agree that if a non U.S. citizen enlists they deserve to become naturalized legal citizens.

I saw a documentary and it was all about the illegals in Atlanta who stand around looking for day labor. The City can't afford to round up these people - there is no where to put them. If day laborers are willing to work so cheaply and for no benefits, then many employers will take the risk and hire them cheaply. It's only going to get worse as more and more people come here and are willing to live and work for almost nothing. When we were in AZ it was common for many houses down there to be housing 20 people at a time - probably all illegals coming in and doing the odd jobs like cutting grass, then they have babies and get on the system. Also even govt. jobs in AZ are impossible to get unless you are bi-lingual.
I think we're headed back to the days where is was really bad before labor laws existed.
We also have a crisis in regard to health insurance in this country. Health insurance should not be a "luxury" and it should be AFFORDABLE and based on income!!!

There is no draft and politicians won't touch a draft, as it is political suicide.
Many legal aliens join the US military, as it is a fast track to citizenship. You do not have to be a US citizen to join the military, but you do have to be legal.

i like that idea... if they really wanna be here, why dont they fight for the country they want? But there's one problem.. since the are illegal, the government doesnt even know that they're here. If they did they'd send em back.
