i think it's rude to generalize. each person is different. i love the Lord, and I believe that everyone has a right to believe what they want.

Christians are required to be separated from worldliness, not from the world. We cannot do all the things that corrupt people do like drink, smoke, drugs, illicit sex, wild partying and all the other stuff that is associated with not being in Christ. This pretty well limits us to our own kind. What you perceive as being treated like dirt is our resistance to sin. We are supposed to live a life in which we sin less, not more. In order to live such a life we must separate ourselves from people who are out of control. this is offensive to them, but that is the rule that God has established. The only exception is when we evangelize the gospel, but still we cannot sin for the sake of preaching the gospel.

There is nothing prticulrly Christian about it. Each and every religion suffers from this complex of superiority. Some religions even consider coming into physical contact-however tenuous it may be--as a sacrilege needing a purification by a bath etc.
This is a human, too human failure.Even presuming that you are really unique is it so brittle if it comes into contact with others. In fact, history is witness to the fact that the intermingling of people of various religions led to improvement in their own faiths. The cult of 'bhkti' in Hinduism is a direct outcome of association of the Muslim Sufism which enriched it.
However, my experience is that Christins are not so exclusivists. In fact with their missionary activities in the field of health they have catered to the lower caste people of Hindu religion who were outside the penn of upper class Hindus.

It's funny that you mentioned that because I am a Christin and I know people who claim to be Christan's but treat me like dirt and they swear that they are saved. Believe me they will get theirs soon Because you can not treat some one like that and say you love God. That is a hypocrite and God will give them their punishment as well. People like that make me so angry because their job is to witness to people about Jesus and they are not suppose to look down and mistreat some one because they are an outsider. They forget about where they come from and the Same God that healed delivered and saved their sin sick soul is the same God will Do for any body else it doesn't matter what done have done He will forgive you and for them as well!

Just because someone calls themself a Christian, doesn't make it so. I could say I'm Algerian, but that doesn't make it a fact. People can claim they are anything they want, and being Christian is a popular thing to be. Wearing crosses on necklaces also, unfortunately, doesn't make someone a Christian. You can tell this by some of the most vile, profane musicians wear big ones around their neck while they are advocating perverted sex acts and killing police.

I have been a Christian my entire life (nearly 50 years). I have never been exclusive. I don't have an inner circle of Christian friends. Heavenly Father created every single one of us. If I treated anyone like dirt it would be a sin.

I'm Christian and I don't have a "circle". I would never treat anyone like dirt. I have a friend who is a Muslim. I don't criticize her for her beliefs and she doesn't jugde me. It's just a stereotype. Not all of us are like that. I prefer to treat those I know as part of my family.

I would say the ones who do that either are not truly Christian (being born again is not the same thing as professing to be born again), or they truly don't have a comprehension of God's love and the true Gospel.
The Gospel isn't exclusive - it's all-inclusive.

True Christians don't act this way or treat their fellowman in this manner. This is why it is very important to listen to Jesus' words and sayings closely. He said to love your enemy, love your neighbor. He would make reference to old testament quotes and remind people to honor your father and mother, not to kill, steal or do unlawful things to others. Over and over we read about how he was our model on how to act and treat others around us. The first century Christians were to be separate from the world and its ways or trends even, religiously and politically! Religiously because of the modern Jewish and Paganistic ways of worship of that day which were not in line with Jesus' sayings to love your brother and worship the True God devoutly, and politically because when facing Pilate at His trial He told Pilate that His Kingdom was no part of this world...which of course points to the Heavenly Kingdom or government which is where He is Rules as The King of Kings at God's right hand. So really, when you come across individuals who claim to be Christian, ask them if what they are doing, or not doing, is in line or approving to Jesus, their Christ! But also remember not to stoop to their level. Remember to forgive them as Jesus also reminds us! They are only human as we and make mistakes as well!
