That's why I bought the 97 cent teether at Wal-Mart. It's just a circle made of connected plastic bubbles filled with purified water. It's pliable and it can be sterilized and also refrigerated.

There is no need for things to be sterilized as they once thought was needed. Hot soapy water or run through the dishwasher is all bottles, nipples and such is needed.
I do daycare and have infants all the time and this is what we were told. I have yet to have one child with thrush or any fungus of the mouth.

Does it really need to be sterilised? Babies that age put all sorts of things in their mouths including soil. It's not as if you're going to store milk in it or anything.
