I used to work with a guy that had so many days off or came in so very late so very regularly. His excuses were always related to his family.

A girl I once worked with had the nerve to ring our boss and say that she wasn't coming back from her weeks holiday for another week because she was having too much fun in Spain!! She didn't even lose her job because the boss said he understood what it was like being young and just let her use another weeks holiday instead!

My ex called in sick from a different state. He didn't know that the 800# he called in to when he was sick went to different call centers from different places. When he found out that the call center his call had been routed to didn't handle the area his home was in.... he could hav ebeen soooo busted!!!
But, the guy that took the call was cool, he laughed when he to Bill that if he were sick he'd probably be at home, not in another state. But, he didn't report him (as he was suposed to do), just noted him very sick & probably off work for a week or so!
Now, this is a guy who gets 7 weeks vacation!!! But, he was having fun & didn't want to go back to work!

Someone I used to work with used the fact that she was pregnant as a reason not to come into work! I wouldnt of minded but I was actually right at the end of my pregnancy and she was at the begining, but that aint the point, life doesnt stop because your expecting, she REALLY took the p*ss

Someone who drove to work through the Peak District phoned in to say he couldn't come in as car had to be taken to the garage for repair as he got out off the car for a pee on his way to work and a sheep fell off the hillside, rolled down,hit his car and bent the wing over the wheel!!!!

My dog ate all my clothes and my work schedule, I had to take him to the vet, at which point I got rear ended by another car, when the police came, I was breathalyzed and failed due to drinking the night before, it took so long that my dog died and I was so upset I became ill, but I really wanted to come in.

I had a guy that called in seriously every weekend at my old job. Said anything from A wall in his mothers house fell down, His grandmother died and he rolled his truck over the night before (this one ended up being true he brought in pictures). All coincidentaly happened on a saturday.
