I think you hit the nail right on the head about your gut's influence. What does your gut alone have to say? When it comes to matters of the heart your mind tries to protect you from hurt, and will always second guess you. This person cannot be that bad, you are friends with her, right? Try to figure out your thoughts and feelings and where they are coming from. And let that help you make your decision.

Well I always say I have ESP to some extent, so I usually go with my gut feeling on things, but in your case, you know this girl is bad news and if you think there will be trouble, then your head is on straight, so take it's advice and stop. Don't let your "other head" influence you to do something you will regret later.

Do both....have fun and enjoy the moment...just keep your guard up...don't let it get too emotionally serious....who knows, she might surprise you and turn out the be the best relationship you've ever had...always hope for the best, but prepare for the worst in every situation. My husband was "trouble" in my mind, but I went with how I felt....that was almost 7 years ago and we are doing great. If you don't go for it, you might end up regretting it. And if you do and things go bad, just another lesson learned...always go with your gut...

I tend to be analytical, so my head usually has a bigger voice than my gut. However, I find a lot of times there's no "perfect" or logical solution to things. In those cases I try to ignore my head and listen to my gut. It usually knows what's best for me anyway. Not necessarily whats easiest or what's most comfortable, but what's best.

i imagine a persons' intestine feeling is continuously some thing to pay interest at. yet in the starting up before that do exactly somewhat of investigating what you experience before you actually bounce in. yet normaly a persons' intestine instinct is allways actual.

Both depending on the situation
But, usually my head, and then after the fact I regret it and say "I should've went with my gut"

i would definately heed the warning if you get the feeling that she is trouble, it will save you alot of heartache in the future, of course we are always free to make whatever choices we like, however we cannot chose the consequences that come as a result of our choices.

what kind of trouble is she?
id say, always use the head thats located higher than the other...theres a reason its way up there.
