They have decided that the ozone layer is not being eaten away by CFC ,so what u think causes it anyway.
Do u know what causes the Van Allen belt and it has nothing to do with CFC's,and never did .
The ionization of that belt is because of the solar winds of ionized particles and there encountering the magnetic field. The Beta particles are attracted to the north pole making the north pole negative charged. The Alpha particles are attracted to the south pole making it positively charged . This causes a Huge current flow which holds the O2 as a shield for radiation. Pls quit messing with this it doesn't need fixing.

I am glad to hear that there is someone who cares for it . I appreciate your curiosity .
Today people are selfish and they care only for themselves .They are unaware of the consequences of this and the depletion of the ozone layer is one such case .
The situation demands the need for sustainable development which sees to the case of the future generations as well .
The only remedy to this situation is to return back to nature .The development of science and technology to the extent it is at present has caused this situation . The CFC's which we release into the atmosphere from industries vehicles etc has caused the depletion of the protection which nature had provided us with .
Though they celebrate ozone day and all they are not serious about it . Now is the time for them to react .Better late than never .
Maybe further improvement in science and technology would provide a solution . Unless and until then there is no other option rather than to return to nature .

The remedy for depletion of the ozone layer is for each adult person on earth to plant 500 trees.
Second solution is to stop flying jet aircraft in the atmosphere. Jet engine exhaust occurs right at the altitudes where ozone is present and is the predominant factor in loss of ozone - but nobody will admit it.

People usually do not care for any harmful impact in the future or
attach less credibilty when Macro warning is done.
The Remedy for it is
Educating the Mass
Day to day Lifestyle habits
Government & Industries Contribution.
Instead of telling about macro impacts
Use language like this
You are caring for a baby, but he can't enjoy the world because
you have done harm in polluting the environment
Soft Guilty feeling stimulation.
The movement has started and it will grow

yes they are serious about it... i can say it because the scientists has announced thatthe enlargement of ozone layer has been stopped now... the hole ozone layer ceases to grow... this is because of the actions taken against the ozone depletion products and the awarenes among the people.

Ozone depleting chemicals like Freon have been banned in the US and many other western countries. Now we just have to get them banned in all other countries in the world.

i am not sure whether they are serious or not. but i do know this that, we can all take efforts because we are the future.
there are so many measures suggested by the UN which every common man can follow. like, taking a cycle for short journeys & trains or buses for the long ones; avoiding the use of ACs & refridgerators and much more has been suggested by them.
i am following some of them. are you ... ?

the ozone problem has been adressed, ozone depleting chemicals have largely been banned and replaced. the "hole" is begining to heal through natural processes.
the increase in climate change gasses and destruction of "sinks" like forest, however, continues unabated.
Changing aerosol propellants & refrigerants did not require any change of lifestyle; climate change requires us all to become aware of our ecological footprint - and like any drug addict, most people are simply in denial that there is a problem.
