This is from Khalil Gibran "The Broken Wings"

It's called The Cypid Myth

"It is wrong to think that love comes from long companionship or persevering courtship. Love is the offspring of a spiritual affinity, and unless that affinity is created IN A MOMENT, it will not be created in years or even generations."

That's my experience. People are either right for each other or they are not. Compatible or incompatible. Too many people try to mold people and hope if they stick around long enough they can change them into what they want them to be. That's not love.

People are like pieces of a puzzle. Some are natural fits, with some its like jamming a square into a round hole... Those who are natural fits interms of their personality, their desires, their temperaments, - they will always do better than those that constantly have to work on it.

Oh gosh, Love can have a million different definitions, but for me and what I have experienced, Love is sharing every thought, every feeling, dealing with the good and bad, the laughter, the tears, and wanting to be close to that person every minute of the day. I read one time that when you are in love, if you sit on a porch swing for hours with that person and never say a word, when you get up, you will feel as though you have had the best conversation you have ever had........that is how I feel about my husband..........NOW THAT IS LOVE

Through all that we have conquered together .. the long distance relationship, finally being able to get married which followed immediately with a full year of deployment, coming home in March .. losing a child - he is my best friend - he is the one that has always kept me strong, felt comforted and loved. He is my best friend, one that I need to talk to daily, one that I reach out for to hold his hand and at the middle of the night to lay on his chest. He finds ways to make me feel so beautiful.. so amazing. He loves my 1st child like his own .. love is so many things and so much.

Hugs from a Loving Mom to a Brillant, as well as beautiful 8 year old Jared and Our Angel, Zachary (taken to soon but who will always remain in our heart) ~ Mel

I truly believe love is just how it is said in the Bible:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.."
You can't say it any better than that. =)
