"They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things (i.e., "the creation") rather than the Creator, who is forever praised. Amen."--Romans 1:25 (N.I.V.)
"Always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth."--2 Timothy 3:7, (N.I.V.) Crucial to the scientific method is an open mind. Closed minds lead to closed hearts, which condition in turn invites spiritual pride. Individuals who are predisposed to this condition usually end up constructing for themselves a god of their own intellect and reason. In effect, they construct a god of their own likeness or image.
"O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profance and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called."--1 Timothy 6:20 (K.J.V.)

I love these Bible verses, they really are the truth. But what was the question?

The "vain babblings" are heard each time science overwhelms some dogmatic approach to reality.

One of the premises on this "question" is fairly dangerous to religious thought. Every time scriptural literalism goes on a rampage against science, it inevitably discredits theology. Luckily for religion, there are believers who understand these anti-intellectual forays and disassociate themselves, and their God, from them.

Romans and Corinthians I , II is of great moment in history. If you are bigot, I don't speak with you. Text is a dialectical lesson. A very good lesson. Paul is right. Try yourself understand. Don't you ask other peoples. The text is so difficult that I don't believe in strangers.

Well you need to get out of the NIV and stay in the KJV. If you only knew what the NIV does to the word of God. Most people think the NIV is easier to read well why take our words like, Christ, blood, Son of God, and many more words and even scriptures taken out.

My intellect is not my god, your god is not my god, and Buddha is not my god, you assume much about something you know very little about. Pray tell, who gave you the power to peer into human souls and evaluate them because of words written in an archaic tome? Your saying anyone who tries to seek the truth indulges in self worship? I seek the truth, and the path of Theravata is a path of self purification, no self worship. Infact, we regard the ego as something to be eradicated, the source of material desire and in turn the source of suffering Please do not generalize, it gives you an very ignorant air.

"They exchanged their gods for neither truths nor lies, and were creative rather than seeking a creator, who was forever forgotten among men." (Clish 15:56) (YA!)

You are quoting my favorite quote, that being;
"I always have a quotation for everything - it saves original thinking"...
