Home made, my daughter is 10 months as we first started her on jar food and the boxed dry food but she was always sick and brought it back up. Now after being on home made food for 5 months she's much better and probably much healthier. She loves foods with strong flavours such as chili con carne. Don't be scared to try all things,

I'd go with homemade baby food - Annabel Karmel made a fortune from writing recipe books for baby's, but frankly, I'd agree with many of the comments, and just puree whatever you're having (within reason). My son loved avocado and papaya puree, but I'm afraid having once accidentally eaten it, I wouldn’t recommend it

With both my children I used both. As I cooked dinner, I set aside some for the next day for the baby, then added spices & flavours for the rest of the family. But if I was out and stuck, I would buy baby food. It doesn't do them any harm as long as you are sensible.

The homemade stuff is probably better but who has that kind of time. If you are uncomfortable feeding the little monster store-bought processed food, you could choose from more natural brands with fewer preservatives. Of course, by the time your little nipper is 3 years old McDonald's and the sugary cereal manufacturers will have their hooks in him or her.

home made, all the time. I liked to feed them mashed carrots, cooked with 1 clove of garlic and a drop of olive oil, mashed peas, and homemade apple puree. Most of the time i just put aside some of the vegetables or meats we were going to have for dinner and cooked them and pureed them, with the exception of pasta or excesively fatty foods.

home made without a doubt. You know exactly what goes into it, it's fresh (not sat in a jar for months on end) and tastes much better (have you tasted jarred baby food?)

Home-made with produce from a local organic box scheme. There is so many chemicals in non-organic products bought in the supermarkets, its best to give your infant the best start in life

Homemade and pureed. Just use whatever your eating but dont add sugar or salt and nothing too spicy. Best is veg and fresh fruit. Its better for baby and cheaper. Apple or banana with custard

I never bought baby food. I made all my own.
I froze each portion in ice cube trays and then transfered to freezer bags.
