I'm an atheist. My early years were spent attending a religious school and listening to people tell me how I would go to hell if I didn't conform to accepted beliefs or if I questioned those accepted beliefs. I was told to give money every week to support the religion and the more money I gave, the happier god would be.
My religion changed my life because it taught me you don't have to believe in any religion or any particular god to be a good person. My religion changed my life because once I left the religion it felt like a heavy weight was removed from my life. My religion changed my life because I became more accepting of others who didn't share my beliefs.
Hope this answers your question.

I practice Haitian Vodou. I did not chose it it chose me. I had a dream about one of the lwa. I did not know what the dream meant. I accidentally found someone that practiced in a pagan shop. I attended one of his classes on Vodou (only because I was curious). He was talking about some of the lwa and I realized he was taking about the one in my dream. After talking to him I came in contact with a house and well the rest is history. The lwa called and I answered. I don't regret any of it.

I'm a chaos mage. Because really. what makes sense anyway? Everything's chaotic, all the time, and...well, I'll get really crazy philosophical and ramble. Suffice to say it came from looking at my understanding of the world, research and investigation, and figuring out that it fit what I already believed.

I'm agnostic because I have a mind and I can think for myself.
I won't go into great detail here but suffice it to say that I think religion is rediculous.

Wiccan. I came to it after years of religious study. Couldn't accept the patriarchies because women are subservient. So in fact, I did choose my path instead of having it bred into me from childhood.

I am a Christian. I choose to be a Christian because I Love Jesus Christ and he has always loved me. I went to Church through out my childhood and witnessed many of God's miracles. I can't deny the Love I feel from and through Christ.

i'm Christian. in the start it grew to become into reason i grew to become into born into it, yet I studied it greater and different religions and found it made the main sense. Like Jews think of the messiah has yet to come back yet that grew to become into Jesus. Muslims say they have been the 1st faith yet Mohammad grew to become into the 1st Muslim. Christians be responsive to we weren't the 1st faith that Jews got here first, yet they grew to develop into depraved and so God sent Jesus the Messiah and began Christianity it relies on the old and new testaments. Jews purely believe interior the old testomony of the bible. Mormons believe in yet another e book and the bible while the bible says this is the only real non secular e book and Catholics believe Mary the mother of Jesus is honestly rather substantial, yet I see it she is substantial, yet she, i'm specific, grew to become into not the only woman who grew to become into suited to have Jesus. desire this helps.
