Is Latin America the spanish spoken in Mexico?

I want to learn Spanish and need to know if the spanish spoken in Spain or Latin America is the right choice for the language spoken in Mexico and the ones that are the majority in the United States.

It would be better to learn the spanish spoken in Latin America. The difference with Spain's spanish would be the pronounciation and of course a couple of words. However, whatever spanish you choose to learn will help you, in the end, it is the same language. Pretty much the same as UK's english an the one at the States.
