there is such thing as self-hypnosis. it's mostly a deep state of relaxation. my brother was taught by a pain theripist how to do it to control his pain levels. people have been known to use self hypnosis instead of being put to sleep for surgeries! do a search for self hypnosis and you'll find many websites that can teach you how to do it. there's also specific ones to help you quit smoking, lose weight and even improve your athletic abilities!

If you're familiar with hypnosis, then you've no doubt heard of Master Hypnotist Steve G. Jones. His book, "Ultimate Conversational Hypnosis" has been voted as the best hypnosis course ever made. The book is also available in electronic format at: http://www.hypnosistocontrol.net

If you want to get an edge in everyday communication and lead other people towards your goals this is a must read.

To be hypnotized mean to be induced into a sleep-like state or trance...

So, let's see if I get this correctly. You want to make yourself go to sleep, plus you want to know when you are asleep successfully, plus presumably you want to control when you wake up from your sleep and you presumably want to make suggestions to yourself for what you are to do and say when hypnotized and afterwards as well? Do I have this right?

So you want to be the hypnotizee and the hynotizer? You want to be asleep and awake at the same time? You want to be induced into a sleep-like trance where you have no control over your thoughts or actions and at the same time be aware that you are asleep? Do you want anything else?

Hi,
Use a guided tape to hypnotize yourself if one solution.
Another is to purchase a tape from the internet or a practitioner.

It IS possible. You do not need a phyiscal guide but a taped program will help you do it.

I don't know your goals with this. Weight loss? Changing your belief systems? These tapes, even should help.

Along with healing, I am also a hypnotist. Follow the advice of dayakaur. There is not much I could add to her answer.

I would suggest the tapes too, but if your tape player quits in the middle of everything, you're screwed!
