he's 18..and im just not sure what to get, im already getting him a 40 dollar gift card to LIDS, its a hat store, he loves hats..but is that enough? i thought i could maybe get him something else..i was thinking maybe another 40 dollar gift card to Finish Line?

That depends on how long you've been with him for, and at 18, a $40 gift card is more than enough. I think he'll appreciate that you thought of what he likes, regardless of if you picked out something specific. I know my b/f is very particular about his hats so I don't even try.

I would suggest that you give him something he'd really like (and yet he still haven't had).. just like what you have in mind right now - hats. You can also buy a his and hers stuffs (like matching hats, a black/blue/brown for him and something girly for you that you can wear together). If you're artistic enough, you may opt to come up with a personal touch.. like a scrapbook of your pictures together starting from how your met, with your and/or friends, then with your and/or his family.
Anyway, I still think you can get him anything, he'll appreciate it as long as it came from your heart. To top your gift, spend a whole day of just total quality time with him will make him totally forget about the gift. =)

I am a romantic, you already have a gift for your man. How about a romantic evening in. If you live on you own or he has his own place, the perfect evening would be a home cooked meal, hot bubble bath, champagne, strawberries, candles and where the night takes you after that all I can say is enjoy. Pamper your man, let him know how much you love and care for him (not that he does not already know that). Have a great evening and Enjoy ;o)

Guys collect stuff. We have different interests in life and that makes it fun too.
Find out what else he collects and then add to his collection in the form of a gift.
Giving a gift card and all with money in it is fine and all, but what would really turn his crank is that you take the time to buy him something and make sure it is wrapped.
