Many dental offices offer outside credit assistance to pay for dental treatment. One type is a credit card where you can make interest free payments for a certain amount of time (sometimes for 18 months), and the other type is taking out a loan for the TOTAL amount of treatment, and then paying back that company. For either option, you need to qualify and will depend on his credit status. You may have to cosign in order for him to qualify. Most offices will offer their own payment plans with the right compromise.

If you live near a dental school that is also a great option for inexpensive treatment. It will take longer to complete the treatment, but they will be thorough.

Good luck!

His teeth got messed up? Go to a Dental University. The students work on patients with a professor supervising and the cost is much less than a regular dentist.

When I was his age I had mine broken by a tree log and could do nothing about it. I went to vocational rehabilitation to make myself more marketable for the work world and lo and behold they actually paid out for me to have the dentalwork I needed. Appearance is required to be marketable in this world. Also contact your local social services as they may allow him to go to a dental clinic. I wish him well

I don't know who to contact but I was in the same spot 2 years ago when I turned 18. I decided to have mine pulled cuz it was just too much to try to fix them. I still don't have teeth but I'm used to it now so I really don't need them.

Talk with some of your local dentists to work out a plan. You might also check your closest dental school. They sometimes can work out a payment plan with you.

check with your local health department. anothe option is a local dental college. student dentists will do the work under a teacher dentist's supervision at a fraction of the cost of going to a private dentist - just takes longer cuz of course they are learning and have to have their worked checked as they do it.
