You don't get much these days for £3500. Especially if you want some kind of a fast car! I wouldn't touch anything like this at this price, you'll be buying a heap of trouble! Also get an insurance quote first, you might get a shock as to how much this will cost.

Get something sensible - Ford Ka or Nissan MIcra is best

The best advise I ever heard is to look at any car at the price that takes your fancy. Then calmly sit in turn on the radio and select the stations one by one. Go for the car with the softest easiest on the ear stations. Think about this. I am NOT winding you up. Do you want to drive a six year old car driven by a **** with every station selected to punk, heavy metal, etc

don't spend £3500 on a car buy a car for £200 or £300 with more than 6mths MOT and some road tax run it til dead than buy another for £3500 you will be buying some thing more than 3yrs old which means mot's and servicing old cars from the early mid 90 have many safety features and you mite just find a top motor I brought a 89 ford sierra 2000e for £200 and it has air con full leather and i've had 12mths trouble free motoring

You'll never get a Skyline for that sort of money.
Stay away from Jap cars as the build quality isn't up to much.

Go for a Mid to late 90's BMW 3 Series Coupe.

You can get a 328i Coupe with dual climate, alloys, sports pack etc for your budget quite easily. 200bhp in classy comfort.

if your staring at a golf then overlook the Polo... that's the comparable motor vehicle yet smaller and a good squeeze contained in the decrease back for any boys over the age of 13... The golf and Civic are the two advantageous autos yet i might choose for the golf because of the stunning re-sale values...

With those sorts of cars I would think more about maintenance costs than the initial cost of buying it. I would say go German, get a Polo or something. They are nothing special to look at but you can run it into the ground and it will not complain.

The best used car to buy is the one which has been used the least.

For that money go for a standard Honda crx. Even an import is safe at that money. you won't get any of the cars you mentioned for that amount of £.
