They are both divorced and looking for someone, so we thought it would be a great idea for them to meet. They'll go out on a date on Thursday night, but for some reason I feel a bit weird about it... I guess I'm afraid it would affect my relationship if it doesn't or does work between them... how should I take it?

I can understand how you would feel uncomfortable. They'll be closer to each other. They are both parents. They have the two of you in common and at some point, you and your boyfriend will be a topic of conversation. But, it won't be the main topic of conversation. They'll spend most of their time trying to get to know each other to see if they want to have a second date. And, you and your boyfriend set this up, so you have to deal with it.

Wish them luck and happiness.

Just concentrate on your own relationship and do not worry about your dad. He has been around a long time and I am sure he is doing what he wants to do. If you and your boyfriend are solid in your relationship, I will not have any effect. Keep your own lives separate from the parents, as far as your relationship is concerned. They are not worried about you, so you are not required to worry about them.

The deed has been done. Don't let it affect your relationship. If it works out between them, great. If it doesn't, don't look for blame.

How cute...It should not matter. It only depends on weather you and your bf don't allow it to affect how you think of each other.

It should be cool. Just remember. If things work out, and they get married, then you and your boyfriend will be brother and sister...ewww... j/k
