That's OK, but yes they are all right, they are cooked in quite a lot of oil.....so you say you don't have much on your plate it should be fine...just not too much!

If you make your own at home, yes, because you can choose lean meats and watch the amount of oil or other fat used. You really need to have at least twice as many veg as eggs and meat though, to balance the starch in the rice and noodles. You could also make brown rice...healthier than white. And if you make it yourself you're not getting all the sodium in the MSG used in many restaurants.
Rice And noodles together is a bit much on the carbohydrate side.
Get a simple Chinese cookbook and experiment. It's fun and it can be very good for you.

If you cook your own food, then you can be as healthy as you wish. If you rely on restaurants and takeaways for your food on a daily basis, then the honest answer is "no". Fried rice is stir fried and stir-frying always requires a fair amount of oil so the rice or other things do not stick to the wok (you still need a bit of oil even if you are using a non-stick one). If you cook your own food, you could boil your noodles first, drain it and serve it with soup made with some chicken meat and some vegetables. You need just a bit of oil to make it tasty. It will be much less calorific than stir-fried noodles.

Hmmm...sounds nice, but OMG FRIED rice is fattening as it is Fried afterall and oils are put in there. Rice is a also a carb so there is more fats... Chicken is okay but yet again, chinese cooking is in alot of oil, and quite rich so be wise with the food consumption, and noodles is like pasta, again another carb. Lets put it that way that the noodles that ud probly have is the fried or soft noodles dipped in masses of oil... Trust, i used to work in a chinese restaurant, and i know how much fat is put in these foods. If you like noodles, try having the flat white rice noodles compiled with fresh veg, meat and abit of spring onion,...that is like a soup base noodle. theres more water and is the fave teatime snack and MEAL for chinese ppl as its lighter, becoz they even have it for breakfast!

Noodles are good for a diet: complex carbohydrates. Chicken: to avoid fat should not be fried. Go for flavoured (pilau etc) rice instead of fried to reduce fat. Not bad though: better than burgers.

not really. fried rice is ..... well...... fried. Eggs are high in calories and can raise your colesterol and blood pressure. Maybe try for something like prawn or chicken chop suey with boiled or steamed rice or noodles which would be a bit healthier.

It can be - depending on whether its home cooked or brought.

I'm chinese and have cooked my own meals as well as worked in a few restaurants myself.

Home-cooking is probably best for whatever diet you're on because you know what's in it (no cheating with pour in or packet sauces though - they tend to contain a lot of additives/preservatives etc.)

If you have to buy, stick with chicken or seafood with lots of vegs with boiled rice. Fried rice and noodles tends to be cooked with lots of oil and favouring which as you know is fattening.

Nope. The noodles are refined and the rice is white and fried in oil.

I would say no chinese is not good for a diet - have one as a treat when you reach certain small goals thats what I do and have one every 2 weeks and love them sooooo much. Better to stick to vegetables and fish and chicken for your diet cooked without oil.

all chinese food is high in calories you would be better off sticking to some other kind of food!
or you could plain noodles and steamed rice
a lot of vegetables
maybe a spring roll
if you have it once in a while just have wotever you want and make the most of it!
