I reckon sometimes you can tell, and I'm probably wrong, but a certain type of person tends to like cats: Robert Smith, Damon Albarn, C.S Lewis, Syd Barrett, Alex Band and a list of famous poets and authors. And Al Pacino (hmmm...) Seems the quirkier famous people are. Just observing. But do you think you can tell? I've predicted correctly a few times....

i think u can tell a lot about a person if they like cats. i once dated a guy who informed me he hated cats, at which point, he was out the door ;) although i do prefer cats, as they are much less maitenance than dogs, i dont believe there should be a preference. i love all animals, big and small, and i think thats what u can tell from a person, that they are unselfish enuf to care about an animal. I have tried, in vain at times, to push my obsession with cats onto people, but its a matter a taste LOL I really dont have much time for people who have anything negative to say about them! We are, after all, the animals voice.

Sometimes you can if the person is out going and friendly they're probably a dog person. But if they're shy quiet and don't get much attention they're probably a cat person. not saying that Dogs are better then Cats, i myself am a "dog person" and i don't care much for cats but i'm not trying to make "cat people" look bad because they're not!

I am not sure how to tell a "cat" or a "dog" person. I use to like dogs when I was younger now I like cats because they are self sufficient and don't need you, but they will purr when they need you.

Not always, because people are unpredictable, but usually people who like cats are friendlier and quieter. And also not everybody likes cats or dogs, some people hate them

Honestly, I think dog people are a bit more outgoing than cat people. I'd break it down like this; dog people are extoverted while cat people are more introverted. But then you get people in between extrovert and introvert.....and then, you get a person like me who loves cats and dogs equally:)

What difference does it make if you can predict or not? No, I don't think you can accurately predict all the time. If you fancy someone, and you'd like to know if they like cats, dogs, or neither- BLOODY ASK THEM.
