Apparently the first sign of madness = Talking To Yourself!!
Second sign of madness = Having Hair on the Palm Side of your Hands (i.e. nails facing down)
Third sign of madness = Looking for the hair on your hands!!!!!

Depends on the person. Sometimes it can be as simple as they do something completely opposite of the way they normally would--but only if it's not their character to try new things whenever they want to. So it depends on the person's personality really, and clinical guidelines.
