It depends on what style you want. I cut my own hair but I keep it cut short. I use a pair of electric clippers to cut it even.

If you want a buzz cut - it's easy.
buy a trimmer. Install the appropriate guard and have at it.
You'll still need a friend to trim the back edge along your neck.

Yeah...I am a woman, but I trim and cut my own hair....
then again, i took three years of cosmetology...

Probably only if it is cut only with electric shears and a guard (all over). Otherwise, I am not sure they could do the back correctly.
They could also do so, if they shave their head.

I guess it's possible, but probably not advisible if you can't cut a straight line. Guess it depends on what kind of style you are trying to give yourself.....

why not?
there are now many kinds of tools invented for men to easily trim his own hair.
it's cheaper and more fun, really.

Its very very difficult, unless u had haircutting experience.
