Well, it depends...

The latest dual core ones are about £200 - £300 at least.

But if you just want a standard 64bit chip id say between £50 - £100

There are older ones, say socket 478 or 370 chips but they are hardly worth anything at all.

Maybe that's where the phrase "cheep as chips" comes from!

Chips are way too expensive, in my opinion. Just bought a family size bag of Tostitos last night at the grocery store for $2.49 - on sale. Pretty good price, but usually I think they're about $3.49.

Depends where u live and what u mean by chips. They refer to french fries as chips in UK. Price difference between them is significant.

I bought a bag of frozen chips from tesco for a quid.....tesco value are even cheap for a big bag!
