Steve would not like that. Steve would be saying that the sting ray was doing exactly what sting rays do, and that he himself let his guard down and so it was not the sting ray's fault that this happened. The sting ray was doing what sting rays do. Nothing malicious.

Steve would hold no ill will towards that sting ray and he would want us to learn from his mistake.

No,he wouldn't want that. He loved all animals & stated many times that they can't be blamed for protecting themselves. He was an ambassador for the animal kingdom and raised awareness for the need to protect them.
I was so sad to hear about this, similar to when we got the news of Elvis' death.
Australia lost a national treasure. My sincerest sympathy goes out to Australians and to Mr. Irwin's family.

I would be willing to be that Steve wouldn't want it killed. It was doing what it does naturally not viciously.

it was a sting ray. but i always thought steve was good with animals, he's got really cose to tham a lot of times before.

he was good, i love his shows but he was just taken too much risks while dealing with wild animals, never has safety in mind, never think of the loves one [ poor wife n kids ], you may escape one million times/tries but not once in a million mistake ! miss him !
